For all of you still calling on Tinubu to do something and expecting him to take the lead in doing that are not ready. It took Tinubu over 10 years to hatch his plan of becoming the President of Nigeria. So, you have to do something different to push him in the direction you want Nigeria to go. You need a stronger force to counter the force he has gathered over the years.
To get this done, some of you need
to sever your bonds from your principals who are tied to his apron. You cannot
be shouting on social media while your physical life is different. Tinubu got
many Nigerians when he succeeded in using them in 2015 to do his bid, because
of the benefits some persons are getting, they have not allowed the 2015
alliance to collapse.
They are holding on to it and keeping
Nigerians under siege by not wanting to talk about issues that would put Tinubu
on the spot. Another reality is that those loyal to Tinubu are not only in APC;
they are in other political parties, especially the PDP and other parties. So,
if you are still expecting a political party to rescue Nigeria, we would
continue to wait till eternity.
We need a united people majority to
determine the tide in changing the narrative. Check the game now; they are
already infiltrating all the political parties to put themselves in positions
of authority ahead of 2027. So, when that time comes, they would use it as a
negotiating tool for their selfish interests. People pretend to front for your
interest and use your support to bargain for their personal interest.
We can vividly recall how those who
were close to or were in positions of influence in the immediate past
administration of Edo State would not allow you to speak on issues just because
they believed you were against the government. Today, these same people are
speaking against what they would not allow you to speak on months ago. Is that
not hypocrisy?
Today, the Governor of Edo State
has both good and bad aspects. Instead of applauding the good parts and
constructively criticizing the bad parts, they want to find a way to magnify
the bad parts and completely blur the good parts. In the end, the people would
suffer the consequences.
Despite uneasy lies the head, let
us begin to ask ourselves the real questions and demand answers and
explanations. We are faced with insecurity, yet we often fail to hold our
community leaders accountable. Interestingly, every community has a deity or
spiritual figure that is revered and feared by all. What if communities were to
collectively use their spiritual influence to condemn those perpetuating
insecurity and other social ills? This could potentially be a powerful tool for
promoting positive change. However, we must also consider the complexities and
nuances of this approach.
In summary, Tinubu may not be the
bad man, but those who stand between you and Tinubu may be the challenge. Let
us stop the lamentations; if we want to make a mark come 2027, this is the time
for us to work on ourselves.
